Why We Built This
EKOLiTiKA believes sustainability isn't just about the planet — it's about how we live, decide, and grow as people. We learn from nature's patterns: roots that anchor, rivers that carve their own path, seasons that return in cycles.
In September 2026, 42 young people from six countries gathered at a mountain lodge in Croatia for "Carve Your Path" — an Erasmus+ youth exchange exploring leadership through experiential learning and linocut carving. For nine days, they explored leadership through the mind (Head), the values and vision that guide us (Heart), and the courage to act (Hands).
On one of the final days, the group planted a linden tree at the venue — a literal root, left behind, still growing long after everyone went home.
That's the idea behind Root & Blade. Leadership, like carving, is not about forcing an image onto a block. It's about slowly removing what doesn't belong, until what's true underneath has room to show itself. And like a root system, the real growth happens quietly, underground, long after the moment is over.
This tool is our way of bringing that experience home — so that carving your path isn't limited to those who traveled to Omanovac. It's available for anyone, anywhere, who wants to slow down and dig into their own leadership story.
Root & Blade does not recreate the exchange. It carries one practice from it into everyday life.
